The Ultimate Blog Challenge: My Results

The Ultimate Blog Challenge: My Results

Well, the Ultimate Blog Challenge has ended. It was 30 days of blogging, commenting and sharing. This was my first challenge of this kind, and I am very glad and grateful that I was able to participate along with my fellow bloggers. Although I wasn’t able to write a post each day, I did double my usual amount and have made some positive progress!

Here are the results I achieved:

I am using for my numbers as it provides me with numbers to use as a comparison. Alexa collects data and provides traffic information and global website rankings. in addition to a few op-tins, below are the actual before and after numbers.

Alexa ranking before:   656,387

Number of sites linking in before:   54

Alexa ranking after:   521,436

Number of sites linking in after:   72

Ultimate Blog Challenge - My Results

The blog challenge was a fun and rewarding experience. I have had some amazing results in just 30 days. I could see from the results how much progress can be made by posting consistently and to be a part of a community such as the blogging community.  I was able to share a great deal of information with others and received feedback in return.

I found that participating in the Ultimate Blog Challenge was a fun and rewarding experience. I would (& will) definitely participate in another one!

Have you ever participated in a challenge? I would love to hear about your experience, what you did and/or what you got out of it.

I haven’t done any of the challenges yet, but I would love to try one because it seems like a great way to stay motivated and to network with other people. I’m glad you had such a positive experience. I can’t wait to try one someday.

Oh Corinne, you’ll love it. I knew it would be good as far as boosting traffic, but I didn’t realize how much I would learn and the people I would connect with. It definitely was a great experience and I look forward to the next challenge! Hopefully, I’ll see you there. 🙂

  2. I have participated in several blog challenges – my next one, in June, is the WordCount blogathon. I didn’t participate in any challenges until I had been blogging a little over two years and – I’m sorry I waited that long. It’s been rewarding and I now have readers in several countries.

Awesome! Congratulations. I agree with you in that I too have been blogging for 2 years before I joined a blog challenge. It is rewarding, and I’ll jump at the chance to participate in the next one.

I participated in the ultimate blog challenge and it was certainly worth it! I got to meet so many wonderful people and I’m slowly building a community around my blog. Funny, but I did a 30 day blogging challenge just before the UBC and I’m hosting a 30 day writing challenge on my blog for the month of May. These challenges are well, challenging and I love the way they stretch me.

Thank you Wendy. I appreciate it…I wouldn’t have had the results had it not been with the help of my fellow bloggers in the group! 🙂

  6. How awesome! I didn’t even realise these sorts of things existed… I’d love to do one of these 🙂

It was a fun experience Martina. When I hear of another one, I will definitely let you know when. The woman who held The Ultimate Blog Challenge dos it every couple of months. She created a Facebook group that is still going on and has people from previous challenges still posting and commenting. They’re an awesome and supportive group. I’ll keep you in mind for the next one! 🙂
